Work with multiple monitors

A workspace beyond one screen

PrimalDesk supports multiple virtual monitors. Keep the primary monitor in the main Workspace window and open an additional monitor in a detached window.

Open a detached monitor

Connect to your host, open the monitor controls and choose the monitor you want to open in a separate window. Allow pop-ups for Workspace if your browser blocks the new window.

The detached window belongs to the current Workspace session. Keep the main window open while you use it. A detached monitor link is not a shareable invitation to the host.

Arrange your windows

Move the browser windows onto your local displays. Choose a fit mode suited to your screen, and use automatic resolution if you want the remote display to follow the available canvas size.

If a window is blank

Check that the main connection is still active. Close the detached window and open it again from the monitor controls.
